Karen Kay Fanning, of Berkley, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at the age of 77. Kay was born in Kansas to the late Ray and Inez Kreie.

After 35 years, she retired as a group leader from the Research and Development Department of Texas Instruments.

Kay treasured spending time with her family, and was proud to be called "MeMa" by those who were close to her. She cared deeply for her faithful and loving dogs: Domino, Lucky and Chance.

In her younger years, she enjoyed gardening and riding on the back of her husband’s motorcycle. She also enjoyed doing arts and crafts in her craft room. She was an amazing woman who showed her warm and witty personality to everyone that she met.

She is already missed by so many.
She was the beloved wife of Peter J. Fanning of 39 years. Devoted mother to Kerrie Blanchard of Berkley, MA, and the late Dronda Chastenay of Guilford, ME. In Addition, she leaves behind two grandsons, and her adored great-granddaughter,
